Gordon's Wine Bar is reputedly the oldest wine bar in London since 1890.
It has a unique atmosphere and you can choose from the low curved ceilings of the old, candlelit cellar or the open terraced area where you can enjoy the sun when it shines or even cosy up under heated canopies on cooler days.
Trabblr is excited to bring you the second wine tasting event hosted by Gordon's!
Mariette Abovici of Vigneron Paysan, a co-operative of small 'boutique' wine growers from the Bordeaux region of France, will be show casing a selection of three red and two white wines from France.
The afternoon begins with a serving of fresh, sparkling 'vin cremant' and a tasting of a white Sauvignon and a Bordeaux.
We later move on to a red St. Emilion, a Chanteloup and one mystery wine!
This will be accompanied by a robust, rustic lunch to compliment each wine. The selection will include canapés of cheeses and olives, Mediterranean fish dishes and French farmhouse style meat dishes. All food will be freshly prepared on the day and determined by what is available from the market.
Two of the vineyard owners will accompany us for this lovely lunch and talk about how they grow and blend their wines.
The wine tasting event starts at 12:30pm so make sure you arrive on time.
Closest tube stations are Embankment and Charing Cross.
