Founded in 1852, the Victoria and Albert Museum (more popularly known as the V&A) houses a permanent collection of more than 4.5 million objects, making it the world's largest museum of decorative arts and design. Objects are spread across 145 galleries with pieces spanning 5,000 years. Holdings include glass, textile, costumes, ironwork, jewellry, printmaking, and more!
The Museum provides a number of free, hour-long tours of various collections. These tours include the Daily Introductory Tour, the British Galleries Tour, the Theatre & Performance Galleries Tour, and the Medieval & Renaissance Tour. Leaders, please click here for timings and organize the event accordingly!
We recommend that the Trabblr group meets to the right of the admissions door 15 minutes before event start time. This entrance is often flanked by two banners that read "Admissions". From there head inside through the Grand Entrance, let the staff know that you're there for the tour, and connect with the Trabblr group!
Closest station: South Kesington on the Circle, District, and Picadilly lines.
