Remember the first time you heard the sitar plucks and bass line on Thievery Corporation's Lebanese Blonde back in '98? Chances are you hadn't heard a more chill sound in your life. Now you can hear music just like it all night long at Eighteenth Street Lounge, the duo's bar and namesake record label. Here eclectic electronic music from both local and world-class DJs provide the perfect backdrop for groovy social sessions among Trabblrs in an intimate setting. This converted townhouse will make you feel like you're at a very own plush house party.
The lounge is comprised of five discrete spaces - The Main Room, The Gold Room, The Jazz Bar, The Studio Bar, and Deck Bar - with live music at the helm Tuesday through Saturday. We think that this is one of DC's finest bars that hasn't only stood the test of time, but has aced it.
Meeting point: The Jazz Room bar. The closest station is Dupont Circle on the Red Line.
Leaders, getting there early has its advantages: 1. There's no cover charge before 10pm and 2. You can find seats. Please click here for hours and other details.
