Awesomely fresh seafood in Washington, DC might be just an arm's length away, but many visitors often pay an arm (and a leg!) for a decent spread of fruit from the sea. We're here to tell Trabblrs that you don't have to because one of the best seafood experiences that you can have in the city is also very reasonable. And that's at Captain White's Seafood City at the Maine Avenue Fish Market.
Captain White's is both a market and a casual restaurant that serves Mid-Atlantic favorites like blue crabs, stuffed clams, and hushpuppies right by the waterfront. Simply tell the friendly staff how you'd like them cooked (we personally like steamed with Old Bay seasoning) and then head over to the covered eating area. It's not the fanciest meal in town but few things beat eating daily fresh seafood out in the open.
Meeting point: At the left under the "Shrimp & Lobster" sign. The closest Metro stop is L'Enfant Plaza Station on the Blue, Green, Orange, and Yellow Lines.
Leaders, the Captain is at your service every day of the week from 7am to 9pm.
