Black Cat is a divey live music venue that makes up for the lack of frills with stellar live bands (The 1975 and Cults, anyone?), cheap beer, and an unpretentious crowd. Sure, it's small and gets hot but you're not here for an orchestra concert. You're here for quality indie bands, many of whom are going to make it real big if they haven't already. Locals love Black Cat because it's one of the last few bars that plays quality music in an informal atmosphere while the rest of the city goes fancy or hipster. We think Trabblrs will have a blast here.
If you want a break from the live music then you can seek respite in the Red Room Bar where you can sip on a cocktail or craft beer while shooting pool with other Trabblrs. There's a jukebox, too, in case you want to introduce other bar mates to a favorite tune or few.
Meeting point: In the Red Room Bar by the jukebox. The closest Metro stop is U St. / Cardozo on the Green Line.
Leaders, Black Cat will cross your path 8pm to 2am Sunday through Thursday and 7pm to 3am Friday and Saturday. Be sure to check out the schedule of bands playing in case that matters. Or heck, just go and get surprised!
