Art is often better viewed with a cocktail and nobody agrees more than the team behind Night&Day, a hybrid space consisting of a chill bar and a gallery focused on graphic art. Its goal is to be a platform for emerging graphic artists in Asia to showcase their work to the world. Sounds awesome, right? It is.
When you enter Night&Day, you'll find yourself in a casual and unpretentious space where Singapore's creative types will be drawing on the walls, sipping on martinis, and munching on cheap, kitschy snacks like Twisties. The music ranges from soul and house party classics to live jazz, making every night a different, unexpected experience.
Night&Day is as unassuming on the outside as it is interesting on the inside. It's located in a 1950s art deco building that although has been completely restored and refurbished, still retains elements of its former self. Evidence of the past includes an iron child-proof gate and a Hokkien mirror from the 1960s.
Meeting point: Outside the entrance. The closest MRT stations are Dhoby Ghaut and Bugis.
Leaders, Night&Day is open Monday to Saturday. The gallery is open from 12pm-12am and the bar is open from 6pm-12am.
