If you've been in San Francisco a few days, you'll probably notice something that you may not have seen elsewhere - groups of people patiently waiting for a table outside restaurants even when it's chilly. San Francisco's denizens love their food and we love the fact that they're happy to wait, sometimes even an hour, for a quality meal. Burma Superstar is a restaurant that almost always commands a wait, but we're not complaining - it's a simple testament to just how damn good it is.
You might think that the hard part is over once you've finally been seated inside. Ha! You couldn't be more wrong. The real challenge is choosing which dishes from the menu you want to try, for choosing one means rejecting another. And that's a lot of pressure. Hopefully you're eating with a good sized group of Trabblrs so that you can try lots of dishes. Some of the must-try's include Tea Leaf Salad, Rainbow Salad, Vegetarian Samusa Soup, SuperStar Vegetarian Noodles, Chili Lamb, Peashoots, and Vegetable Curry Delux.
Happy feasting! It will probably be a very quiet meal.
Meeting point - Outside the restaurant.
Leaders, the Superstar is open from 11:30am and 3:30pm for lunch and then 5pm to 10pm for dinner. Try to call ahead and put your name down. The wait will be quicker that way.
