Ask creative, young locals what their favorite night market is and they'll probably say, "Talad Rot Fai". Say what? Literally translated into "Train Market", this market is packed with stalls selling retro clothes, vintage bikes, genuine antiques, and piping hot street food. While it was first located on land owned by the State Railway of Thailand (hence the name) near the world famous Chatuchak Market, it has since shifted to a suburb called Srinakarin. It may be a bit of a ride to get there but trust us - it's worth the adventure.
We suggest Trabblrs meet at Exit 3 of BTS Udom Suk station on the Sukhumvit Line. From there you can share a taxi to a massive mall called Seacon Square where you will get off and enter the market. Before the market though, step into Makura Cat Cafe where you can play with soft and hilarious felines over coffee and sandwiches. We can't think of a better way to de-stress from the traffic! When inside the market, step into Roy's to check out a collection of classic cars and motorcycles before meandering through the lanes to haggle with vendors.
Meeting point: BTS Udom Suk Exit 3.
Leaders, Talad Rot Foi is only open Friday through Sunday from 5pm onwards so please plan the event accordingly.
