The capital's Delhi Art Gallery is the newest addition to Mumbai's art district of Kala Ghoda. Opened in late-October, DAG Mumbai focuses on 20th century Indian art. Unlike other most other art galleries in the country, DAG owns its entire collection.
The gallery's seminal exhibition is "Mumbai Modern" featuring the Progressive Artists Group. You know...F.N. Souza, S. H. Raza, M. F. Husain, Tyeb Mehta and the like. The exhibition is only on until the end of the year, making this a great opportunity to see such amazing works with other art enthusiasts in the city!
Once you're done checking out the gallery, you can grab a meal at any of the nearby restaurants or continue exploring the area. There's so much to see in such small quarters!
Meeting point: At the gallery's entrance. The gallery is located opposite the Blue Synagogue near Rhythm House. Do use the comments section below to break the ice and coordinate!
