The Dr. Bhau Daji Lad Museum is undoubtedly one of our favorite museums in the city. If you haven't been there before then now's your chance because Fukuoka Prize 2013 winner Nalini Malani has a new show there.
The exhibition is comprised of 42 paintings and "challenges themes, current and universal, include religious conflicts, war, oppression of women and environmental destruction, focused on the recent history of the Indian Subcontinent."
We're suggesting a start time of 11:30am so that first-timers to the BDL can take a complimentary tour of the permanent collection! Those who have been to the museum before can meet the group at 12:30pm.
Meeting point: At the entrance to the museum. Getting to the museum is easy - just tell your taxi driver to take you to Rani Baug in Byculla East.
