The Bombay Natural History Society is organizing a walk on Sanjay Gandhi National Park's Shilonda Trail on a Sunday morning. Winter mornings on this trail are always rewarding for the potential to spot a large variety of flora and fauna. While you probably won't see any big cats, you'll definitely see common leopard and striped tiger butterflies fluttering amid the trees.
This is truly a unique opportunity to explore a part of the park that otherwise needs special permission to visit. The trail will be led by two BNHS members and should last approximately three hours. We think that this is a great way for Trabblrs to get their dose of nature without leaving the concrete jungle!
Meeting point: Purchase your entry ticket at the main gate and then meet the group under the map beyond the gate.
Price: Rs. 250 to be paid in cash on the day for Forest Department permission fees and BNHS expertise.
