There's nothing like a little libation to loosen up your south Mumbai exploration. From no-frill drinking dens to swanky restobars, the backpacker haven of Colaba is packed with numerous bars that are within easy walking distance from each other.
We recommend first ordering a quarter of Old Monk, some Cokes, and a plate of chili chicken at Gokul's before making your way to comparatively upscale and hip Busaba, a pan-Asian restaurant and bar with low lighting, comfy couches, and a relaxed vibe. Right next door to Busaba is Indigo, Mumbai's first stand-alone fine dining restaurant with a crisp white bar and patio. If you've still got time and your spirits are high, spend final call at Woodside Inn, an English-style pub that plays nostalgic rock music. In the same area are Mumbai institutions Cafe Mondegar and Leopold Cafe, so feel free to waver from the suggested plan after a democratic vote!

Meeting point: At Gokul. To reach Gokul, the first stop of the crawl, tell your taxi driver to take you to Regal in Colaba. Get out of the cab and walk into the lane next to Cafe Mondegar until you reach Tulloch Road. Swing a right and Gokul will be on your right.
Leaders, bars in Mumbai officially close at 1:30am so plan accordingly!
